Team Sherry Anderson wins a third gold medal and slides into April’s Athlete of the Month honours

After winning a gold for Team Canada for the third time at the World Senior Curling Championships in South Korea, Team Sherry Anderson was named the Sask Sport April Athlete of the Month award.

Saskatoon’s Team Anderson includes, lead Anita Silvernagle, second Brenda Goertzen, vice-skip Patty Hersikornand skip Sherry Anderson. The foursome’s third gold created a new record for most wins on the world stage. Team Anderson defeated Team Jackie Lockhart from Scotland 8-4 in the final on Apr. 28.

Team Anderson finished the 2023 championship with a clean scoreboard, 9-0. The foursome previously won in 2018 and 2019.
