SASKATOON (February 10, 2020) – With two gold medals in 60-metre hurdles competition, Saskatoon’s Michelle Harrison has been named Sask Sport Inc.’s January Athlete of the Month.
Harrison won her first medal of the month in the event at the national Sanderson Classic Track Meet on Jan. 11. Two weeks later, she struck gold again in the 60-metre hurdles at the international Knights of Columbus Indoor Games. Clocking in at 8.22, she set a Huskie Athletics record and was named the Top Canadian at the event.
Harrison, a University of Saskatchewan student and Huskie Athletics athlete, is currently ranked No. 1 in U SPORTS and in Canadian indoor women’s competition in the 60-metre hurdles. Harrison was nominated for the Athlete of the Month Award by Saskatchewan Athletics.
