Seven inductees have been announced by the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame as the Class of 2025. The induction class highlights numerous communities across the province and for the first time, an individual from water polo and rugby will be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
In addition, the 2025 Induction Class is the first to feature a parent and child being inducted at the same time who were not inducted together as part of a team.
The inductees of the 2025 Class will join the 554 previous inductees in the Hall of Fame on September 20, 2025.

ATHLETE CATEGORY
After joining rugby at 22, Julie Foster became the most decorated Saskatchewan-born rugby player, having represented Canada at three Women’s Rugby World Cups, reaching the semifinals each time. In 1997, she joined Canada’s first women’s rugby sevens team at the Hong Kong Sevens. When she retired from international play, her 44 national team appearances placed her third (at the time) in the all-time list of women’s players.
From 2000-2008, Noah Miller represented Canada on the men’s national water polo team, serving as captain for half of that time. During his national team career, he led Canada in scoring in 2003, captured bronze medals at the 2003 and 2007 Pan American Games, and played in over 40 international events.
Punter Jon Ryan became the first Saskatchewan player to win a Super Bowl when the Seattle Seahawks defeated the Denver Broncos in 2014. Sandwiching his 12 years in the NFL, Ryan also played five years in the CFL and was a dual-threat for the University of Regina Rams as a punter and receiver.
BUILDER CATEGORY
In 1987, Brad Hornung was paralyzed from the neck down after being injured in a Western Hockey League game. His injury received national attention and ultimately led to improving safety in hockey, as the WHL adopted a checking-from-behind penalty. Hornung eventually reached the NHL, working as scout with the Chicago Blackhawks from 2001 to 2004. On February 8, 2022, Hornung passed away at the age of 52 following a battle with cancer.
Klara Kesmarky Miller’s has made an impact at the provincial, national and international levels in her more than six decades involved in the sport. Miller launched the YWCA Limberettes Gym Club at the age of 17 and coached there until 1978. In 1994 she was hired as the Chief Executive Officer of Gymnastics Saskatchewan and held the position until her retirement in 2024.
TEAM CATEGORY
The 1997 and 1998 Regina Rams junior football teams each captured Canadian Junior Football League championships and hoisted the Canadian Bowl trophy. Following the 1998 season, the Rams moved to university football, but the program concluded their time in the CJFL, having won five titles in the previous six seasons.
In 1976, the Saskatoon Harmony Centre softball team was created and by 1978 they claimed their first senior women’s national softball title. Winning that title earned Harmony Centre the opportunity to represent Canada at the 1979 Pan American Games in Puerto Rico, where they finished fourth with an 8-3 record.
