After breaking the Pan American under-18 clean and jerk record along with total weight at the World Juniors in Mexico, Etta Love is awarded the November Athlete of the Month honours.
Love started her weightlifting journey at nine and now is crushing records at the highest level of competition available within weightlifting.
At the 2023 Junior World Weightlifting Championships in mid-November, Love competed as the second youngest athlete. She claimed bronze in the snatch 106-kilogram category and broke two records. Love was ranked fourth in the +87-kg weight class and broke records in the 135-kg clean and jerk event and in total weight with 241-kg, lifting 531lbs.
Love was nominated by the Saskatchewan Weightlifting Association.
