A historic month for Dash earns March Athlete of the Month

After taking home a historic fifth national championship title from the Canadian Wheelchair Curling Championship, skip Gil Dash earned March Athlete of the Month.

Dash ended his month by helping skip Team Saskatchewan 1 to claim gold in Moose Jaw. The win earned him a fifth championship title, breaking the previous record of four titles. Moose Jaw’s Marie Wright and coach Lorraine Arguin were with Dash for the five wins.

Earlier in the month, Dash competed in Gangneung, South Korea at the 2024 World Wheelchair Curling Championship to earn silver. With the silver win, Canada earned enough points to qualify for the 2026 Milano-Cortina Paralympics.

Dash was nominated by curling supporter and was supported by CURLSASK.
