After a week of competition and camaraderie, the 2024 Saskatchewan Summer Games, hosted by Lloydminster have come to a close.
Regina’s district team finished the week at the top of medal standings after tallying an outstanding 111 medals and were the overall champions. They accumulated 28 gold, 29 silver and 54 bronze medals with the highest medal total of 39 being claimed in swimming.
The Saskatchewan Games ran from July 21-27 and hosted 1,504 athletes from the province’s nine districts and 221 communities.
The next Saskatchewan Games will be co-hosted by Meadow Lake and the Flying Dust First Nation in 2026 for the winter edition of the multi-sport event.
