Nîkânîwin
The Nîkânîwin Leadership Program is a partnership between Indigenous Sport Saskatchewan (comprised of Sask Sport, Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations and Metis-Nation Saskatchewan) with Big Brothers Big Sisters Saskatoon.
The program is designed to bring youth ages 8-12 together in a group experience led by mentors, where they can learn cultural teachings, engage in sports and community activities, while celebrating Indigenous heritage.
Nîkânîwin began in early 2025 as a pilot project but will be expanding across the province. To learn more about becoming a Nîkânîwin leader or running a Nîkânîwin program in your school/community, please contact nikaniwin@bigbrothersbigsisters.ca.
