Wiens earns August Athlete of the Month after historic dive

August was a historic month for Rylan Wiens as he dove his way to an Olympic bronze medal in Paris and earned Athlete of the Month honours.

Wiens, joined by diving partner Nathan Zsombor-Murray, made Canadian history after claiming the country’s first Olympic medal in the men’s 10-metre synchronized event after diving to 422.13 points.

In addition to his synchronized performance, Wiens also finished seventh in the men’s 10-m individual event.
