On Saturday, Sept. 24, eight athletes, three builders and one team were officially inducted into the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame.
Due to the 2021 induction ceremony being postponed, this year’s event featured the induction of both the 2021 and 2022 classes.
The five members of the Class of 2022:
- Kelsie Hendry (Saskatoon – Athletics, athlete)
- Harry Jerome (Prince Albert – Athletics, athlete)
- Rueben Mayes (North Battleford – Football, athlete)
- Antonia “Toni” Beerling (Rosthern – Athletics, builder)
- Bill Brownridge (Vawn – Hockey, builder)
And the Class of 2021:
- Justin Abdou (Moose Jaw – Wrestling, athlete)
- Rod Boll (Fillmore – Trapshooting, athlete)
- Colette Bourgonje (Porcupine Plain – Athletics and Cross-Country Skiing, athlete)
- Kaylyn Kyle (Saskatoon – Soccer, athlete)
- Lyndon Rush (Humboldt – Bobsleigh, athlete)
- Shannon Miller (Tisdale – Hockey, builder)
- 2000-01 University of Regina Cougars Women’s Basketball Team
- 2013 Saskatchewan Roughriders Football Club
