The Saskatchewan contingent, made up of 48 athletes, nine coaches and 18 support staff took part in the Games hosted in Calgary from Feb. 27 to March 2. Athletes battled it out against opponents from across Canada in alpine skiing, cross country skiing, five-pin bowling, curling, floor hockey, snowshoeing, figure skating and speed skating.

Five-time Games participant Daniel Fiedelleck, who helped Saskatchewan to a gold medal in curling at this year’s event, was Team Saskatchewan’s flag bearer for the opening ceremonies, while speed skater Jordan Stevenson, who captured three gold and one silver in competition, had the honour for the closing ceremonies.
