Luke Flegel was named Chair of the Sask Sport Board of Directors on June 20.
Flegel has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2022 when he was nominated by Saskatchewan Volleyball Association. He served as the Vice Chair Sport on the Board in 2023-24. Flegel is active as a volunteer in volleyball both as a coach and official.
The rest of the executive positions will be filled by Kendra Farmer as Vice Chair Sport, Joel Brown as Vice Chair Trust Fund, Amy Prokop as Vice Chair Lotteries and Mike Thorson as Secretary/Treasurer. Colina Paul, Brett Hines and Mason Medynski also all remain members of the Board.
Sask Sport would like to thank Rochelle Neff and Trent Knapp who completed their terms on the Board.
At the AGM, members of the sport federation officially elected four members to the Board:
- Brittany Brunn, nominated by Saskatchewan Softball
- Ted Jaleta, nominated by Saskatchewan Athletics
- Bill Kinash, nominated by Saskatchewan Cycling Association
- Shawn Waskewitch, nominated by Rivers West District for Sport, Culture and Recreation
Bill Kinash and Shawn Waskewitch both served a three-year term on the Sask Sport Board of Directors and let their names stand for re-election.
