Lac La Ronge Indian Band hosted hundreds of athletes and numerous events for the 2024 Tony Cote Summer Games, bringing lasting memories to those in attendance.
The Woodland Team claimed the most medals and finished top of the Games’ standings after tallying 100 medals, 44 of which were gold. As well, the team will bring home 32 silver and 24 bronze, an outstanding collection after a week of hard work.
The final day of competition featured beach volleyball, soccer and softball, before the Games concluded with Closing Ceremonies.
In addition, Lac La Ronge hosted various celebratory events throughout the week, which included evening entertainment, fireworks and a banquet.
The Tony Cote Summer Games ran from August 10-16 and will return in 2026 with another week of camaraderie.
