After being named the 2024 HSBC SVNS Women’s Rookie of the Year, Carissa Norsten has earned June Athlete of the Month.
Norsten, who hails from Waldheim, competed with Team Canada for the previous six stops of the HSBC SVNS World Rugby women’s 7s circuit and joined the team once again for the Grand Final from May 31 to June 2, in Madrid. Canada finished fourth after losing to New Zealand in the third-place game.
Norsten was nominated by Saskatchewan Rugby.
