The event will feature 14 sports, split between two phases of competition, with 1,504 athletes participating from ages 11-18. Joining the athletes will be 235 coaches, 82 managers, 77 mission and support staff and 183 major officials.

Following the Opening Ceremonies on July 21, events in archery, canoe/kayak, golf, men’s soccer, women’s softball, Special Olympics bocce, swimming, tennis and volleyball will take place until July 24. The final phase will feature athletics, men’s baseball, basketball, beach volleyball, women’s soccer and triathlon from July 24-27.

The Saskatchewan Games allow athletes to gain valuable experience by competing at a major multi-sport event, with many athletes who attend the Games later going on to represent Saskatchewan at the Western Canada and Canada Games, as well as on the international stage.

The Games will conclude with Closing Ceremonies on July 27.
