Paige Crozon capped off not only an incredible year – but phenomenal month – with yet another first-place finish with her basketball team at the FIBA 3×3 Women’s World Series Championship earning her the Sask Sport Athlete of the Month for September.
Crozon and Team Canada finished in first place at the FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series 2022 final in Constanta, Romania from Sept. 17-18. The Humboldt product finished the tournament with 23 points and 16 rebounds in five games, putting her seventh in scoring overall. She also ranked third in player value with 30, behind her teammates Michelle and Katherine Plouffe. Canada went undefeated, winning all five games they played during the event.
The latest win concluded a dominant regular season, as Crozon and her team put up a record of 25-3, winning four titles along the way, including one earlier in the month at the Montreal World Tour event on Sept. 2-3. For her efforts in Montreal, Crozon was named the tournament MVP after shooting 43 per cent beyond the arc. She was also named the Canada Basketball player of the week for the first week in September.
Crozon was nominated by the Basketball Saskatchewan.
