Mark your calendars! The Saskatchewan Sport Awards are back – and in person – on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. at TCU Place in Saskatoon.
The annual awards program celebrates the achievements and dedication of individuals in Saskatchewan’s amateur sports community in 2022. Six Excellence Awards will be handed out, including Male and Female Athlete of the Year, as well as seven Recognition Awards for deserving recipients who show dedication to volunteering, coaching and inspire through sport.
And this year – Tara Slone will be the celebrity guest emcee!
Slone was most recently the co-host of the NHL broadcast Rogers Hometown Hockey alongside Ron MacLean. While at Sportsnet, she also helmed the weekly Sportsnet series Top of HER Game focusing on stories of empowered women in the world of sports.
The award-winning host will also lead a Women in Sport breakfast panel while in Saskatoon on Friday, Jan. 27. Slone will be joined by other female leaders in varying sport roles. This event will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Saskatoon.
Tickets to attend both the 2022 Saskatchewan Sport Awards and Women in Sport Breakfast are $30.
